I am once again thrilled to be in Amsterdam with Performa, Julien and Ana, the Hartwig Foundation and the incredible dancers from the Alvin Ailey School. What an honor to be performing the live music in this unique and conceptual piece by Julien Creuzet.
Hartwig Foudation presents the European premiere of @julien.creuzet’s performance ‘Algorithm ocean true blood moves’ in Amsterdam. Julien Creuzet, who will be representing France at the upcoming Venice Biennale, takes this captivating performance piece to the Studio Boekman of the Dutch National Opera & Ballet. The movements, choreographed by @ana.pi.ana, reveal unexpected yet intimate connections between different times and geographies across the Black Atlantic. We co-commissioned the piece with @performanyc and look forward to presenting it in Amsterdam in collaboration with @nationaleoperaballet. Tickets will be available soon. . . .
